About the role
Under the direction of Manager, Major Programs, the Project Coordinator may be responsible for leading and/or supporting the discovery, design, testing and delivery of key Return to Work Victoria initiatives. Delivery of these programs of work is critical in supporting WorkSafe to achieve their corporate objectives.
This role requires a passion to design and deliver better health, recovery and return to work experiences and outcomes for injured workers. An ability to engage, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to drive outcomes is essential. The role also requires research & analysis skills and experience of the health sector & human centred design is desirable.
Strong project management experience and demonstrated skills to effectively respond to ambiguity and or changing/competing demands are essential.
Key accountabilities
- Lead the development, testing and implementation of key strategic and business improvement projects, services and initiatives aligned to our strategy and business plan.
- Lead the identification of gaps/opportunities to inform strategic and business improvement initiatives.
- Build and sustain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and key decision makers.
- Development of a range of project management and communication documentation.
- Plan, schedule, and manage project activities including reporting and governance related documentation.
- Where appropriate, utilise a human-centred approach to develop solutions prototyping, ideation, testing and iteration.
- Liaise with actuarial, business performance, enablement, claims and research areas to support project design, delivery and evaluation as required.

About you
You will be an experienced coordinator with highly developed visual, written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to engage with and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
You will also be comfortable working within a changing environment whilst being able to work autonomously as well as contributing to our strong team based culture.
Ideally you will also have allied health and/or primary health network knowledge.
Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop and implement multi-faceted projects in a complex operating environment.
- Ability to apply design thinking towards projects where applicable.
- Extensive project lifecycle experience understanding design methodologies, project planning and delivery, risk assessments and gap analysis.
- Experience with the application of project management methodologies.
- Experience in leading and/or supporting effective qualitative and quantitative research and synthesis.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain project management documentation across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Strong experience in developing and delivering presentations, facilitating discussion groups and/or workshops with diverse participants including senior leaders.
