About the business unit:
Corrections Victoria Intelligence Service (CVIS) is the overarching intelligence service for Corrections Victoria (CV) and its stakeholders. CVIS is comprised of the primary intelligence unit known as the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Unit (CVIU) as well as localised prison intelligence units and within Post Sentence Facilities across Victoria.
About the role:
The Corrections Intelligence Officer works closely with the other members of CVIU. They assist in delivering intelligence services to decision makers across CV and its stakeholders in order to contribute to the security and good order of correctional facilities and support the effective management of offenders in the community. Some examples i nclude producing intelligence to identify and prevent violence, the introduction and usage of contraband, serious incidents or unrest, and to assist in the safe management of offenders in the community.
